Shanker Dev Pant's contributions, motivated primarily by his missionary zeal, towards purchasing a site and erecting a building for the college.
The name of the college was changed in 1973 to Shanker Dev Campus following the government policy of amalgamating it into Tribhuvan University and recognizing Prof. Shanker Dev Campus (SDC) was founded in 1951 as Nepal National College which was housed temporarily at Durbar High School and then at Tri-Chandra College in Kathmandu. It has space for recreational activities that includes a basketball and a volley ball court. It has facility for faculty members, academic departments, library, computer lab, a multi-purpose hall, well furnished classrooms, a hall for student union, etc. The campus has ample space to carry out educational, administrative and financial activities. SDC has its ultimate objective of educating students forprofessional pursuits in business, industry, and government dedicated to contributing for enhancing the knowledge and understanding of business and public administration. Shanker Dev Campus (SDC) comprises of highly professional, dedicated, and competent faculty as required who focus onproducing world-class management manpower. SDC has become an outstanding Campus for business studies in the country today, characterized by its pioneering days in the field of management professional expertise, quality education and discipline.The campus runs programs in bachelor's ( BBS, BBA, BIM, BBM, BBA-FI) and master's degrees (MBM and MBS) in business studies. SDC, located at the heart of Kathmandu metropolitan city Putalisadak, is one of the most admired constituent campus of Tribhuvan University. Shanker Dev Campus (SDC) is one of the Nepal's top ranked University for masters degree and bachelors degree for management education.
